How suitable are frozen samples for microbiological testing?

However, the question of detection limit and selection for certain pathogens remained unanswered.

For this reason, a small test series with 10 samples was carried out to check whether it makes a difference if sample material is directly submitted to bacteriological testing or if it is frozen for a few days before being cultured.
