Brachyspira suanatina has now also been detected for the first time in Poland in 7 out of 9 analyzed farms. In addition to B. hyodysenteriae and hampsonii, B. suanatina is one of the causative agents of swine dysentery. This must be considered when assessing the corresponding samples.
